Unfortunately, AIS does not accept short-term volunteers. Aside from some specific projects advertised, volunteers must be able to commit to at least 1 month. Volunteering at AIS is an extremely rewarding experience, however it can also be very challenging. If you want to join our team on the ground in Cambodia, please view our current openings.

Let’s Talk Money

Volunteers are not required to pay AIS to volunteer with us. But… we can’t pay you either. Our resources are reserved for the children, programs and community projects we run. For this reason, we are unable to provide housing, payment or stipends for volunteers. Volunteers are required to provide their own flights, visas, accommodation and living expenses.

What’s Included?

If you are accepted to volunteer at AIS, we will provide…

  • Pre Arrival Support

  • Airport Pick Up

  • Transport for your scheduled AIS activities

  • On-going support and supervision

  • Free learning Khmer Language

  • Volunteer activities and school events

AIS fundraisers are amazing, generous people who raise money to provide a better future for thousands of Cambodian children and their families.

There are so many different ways to raise money for AIS – we’ve had people cycle across Asia, a whole family ran ultra-marathons in Iceland – but it doesn’t need to be extreme. Many people ask for donations for their birthday, or ask their friends and family to sponsor them to take part in a challenge.

Giving a helping hand is easier than you think. This guide will give you some fundraising ideas to support AIS on your own.

For larger fundraising efforts, we will even work with you to set up a “Fundraising Campaign” on the AIS website, which will allow donations to be made directly to your campaign via our donation platform. We will provide you with all the support you need, and we may even be able to profile your fundraising activities on the AIS blog and social media channels.
